Interactive sound installation

Evanescent 荏苒

Evanescent (荏苒) is a sound interactive installation exploring the disappearance of Naamyam (南音), a traditional Cantonese narrative singing art form. “Evanescent” refers to time slipping by, echoing how Naamyam has faded from everyday life. Visitors collaboratively play a set of custom, hacked instruments to build a shared symphony inspired by Naamyam storytelling.
